After his drunken mother left him without food or water at a mechanic's workshop in the desert port of Arica, a yet to be identified two-year-old boy was spotted feeding from his neighbours dogs.
He was seen naked, looking so malnourished and suffering from several skin infection and a lice infestation.
The naked toddler was later taking away to the hospital 1,240 miles north of the country's capital, Santiago by the police, where he is being treated.
However, his mother
later showed up at the hospital all drunk and wash out. The child was
not release to her but was placed in the care of local child welfare
authorities.
No injuries were found on the child's body and is still unclear, if the authorities will arrest child's mother.
National Service for Minors of Chile’s has now filed a complaint for neglect in relation to the child.
