A brilliant Taiwanese medical student identified as Huang, jealous that his best friend and classmate was also eyeing the woman he loved, killed the friend and after he was released on bail, committed suicide, reports Tomo News.
It was reported that Huang and the friend identified as Liu were,
unknowingly, in love with the same woman and when Huang found out that
the girl in question preferred Liu to him, invited the friend to his
apartment and as the two got down to some drinks, they began arguing
about the girl and in a fit of drunken rage, Huang strangled Liu.
After
that, he attempted to burn Liu’s body on the kitchen stove, destroying
the body’s face and fingerprints. Huang then dumped his friend’s body in
the mountains, but police quickly identified the student and traced his
movements back to Huang’s apartment.
Huang was
arrested on suspicion of murdering his friend and he reportedly warned
his lawyer that if he was released on bail, he would attempt to commit
suicide.
And he actually carried out his threat
when he was released on bail and his body was found in his bedroom where
he left two brief suicide note, one to his parents that read:
'Mom and Dad, I’m sorry to disappoint you again.'
The other note was a confession to the murder of his best friend and the reason he did what he did.
A few weeks ago, a Chinese man identified simply as Qin,
was arrested by the police in Guangxi, in the Southern part of the
country for killing his girlfriend and going ahead to post the images of
her corpse on WeChat, a social media platform.
Before then, a 23-year-old Chinese student identified as Li Xiangnan,
was arrested in the United States and repatriated to China to face
charges for the murder of his girlfriend while studying at the
University of Iowa.
