2-Yr-Old Boy Dies As Mother And Neighbour Were Fighting

A scuffle between a woman, identified as Beatrice and her neighbour in Idanre, Ondo state, has reportedly resulted to the death of her two year old son, Vanguard reports.
According to sources, one of the thugs brought by the suspect to settle scores with the mother of the deceased, reportedly removed the baby from her back by force and smashed him on the concrete floor.
The neighbour, Toyin Akinrosotu, who is the major suspect, has been subsequently arrested and detained, while the bereaved woman wants justice for the loss she suffered.

Another source stated instead, that the baby fell off the back of his mother during a scuffle occasioned by an argument, although there were no confirmed reasons for disagreement.
The police authorities in the state have since transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) for proper investigation, while the remains of the deceased has been deposited at the General Hospital mortuary in the town for post-mortem examination.
Another eyewitness recounts that the suspect, who lives at Awolata Street, Idanre, reportedly led some suspected thugs to the house of mother of the deceased and she was thoroughly beaten up, an incident which led to the death of the boy.
The toddler, who was allegedly smashed on the floor, died after being rushed to the hospital while his mother later reported the incident at the police station leading to the arrest of suspect.
